Yoga & Walking Retreat
Pilgrimage on the Camino de Santiago
A Journey of Movement, Meaning & Mindfulness
In October 2026, I’ll be taking a group to walk the final 116km of the Camino de Santiago and I’d love you to be part of it (we currently have two spaces to offer).
This 9-day yoga and walking pilgrimage blends mindful movement, yoga, textile journaling, rest, and reflection as we travel together along one of the most beautiful and historic sections of the Camino Francés. We'll move through rolling countryside, forests, and quiet Galician villages, ending with time to absorb and celebrate our journey in the stunning medieval city of Santiago de Compostela.
I walked this route recently and can honestly say: it’s not just about the kilometers, it’s about the steady rhythm of moving forward, the shared moments, the simplicity of living day by day. It’s challenging at times, and all the more rewarding because of it. There's a quiet sense of achievement that’s hard to put into words.
Each step, each breath, each shared meal offers a chance to reconnect with yourself, with nature, and with a deeper sense of purpose.
What Levels of Yoga & Walking are Necessary?
You need to enjoy walking! ...be reasonably fit and ready to put in some preparation beforehand, which I’m happy to support you with.
The walking is moderate overall, with some rolling hills and a few steeper climbs (all manageable with steady effort). Our yoga practices will be gentle, grounding, and supportive, designed to enhance the journey, and will include Hatha yoga, restorative and yin yoga, yoga nidra, meditation, breathwork, and textile journaling.
Why Join Us?
The Camino invites you to slow down, step away from the usual pace of life, and move with intention. Walking it in community, with yoga woven through, deepens the experience even further.
Yoga, pilgrimage, and creative journaling each invite reflection, presence, and curiosity. Together, they offer a way to reconnect not just with yourself, but with life’s quieter rhythms, the ones we often miss in day-to-day life.
If you’re looking for something real, steady, and soul-nourishing, this journey might just be for you.
“Solvitur ambulando.”– Latin proverb (“It is solved by walking.”) This timeless phrase is often attributed to Saint Augustine or Diogenes, and it's frequently invoked by pilgrims and walkers to express the healing, clarifying power of walking—especially in nature or on sacred paths like the Camino.
