Read about your Pause Yoga Class

What can I
expect?

Your class will have a focus on breathing, flexibility, strength and relaxation. With a combination of flowing poses done in succession creating heat in your body through movement, or more static poses with slower transitions to increase stamina, focusing more on the alignment of each pose. We offer Hatha Yoga classes (British Wheel of Yoga 500) with space and peace giving you the chance to 'Pause' and discover a practice that nourishes you from the inside out.

What are the benefits?

Your busy life can encourage your mind and internal systems to stay switched on. Practicing yoga encourages you to switch off and let go. This calm and relaxed state can offer your body and mind an opportunity to rest and digest, releasing anxiety and stress for the time when you practice and perhaps teach you the skills to introduce this calmness to other aspects of your life as you live it ‘off the mat’.
As well as mental clarity & self awareness, the physical benefits of greater strength, improved posture, flexibility & balance are all enjoyed from regular practice.

Who is it
for?

Well a good point to consider is that everyone who does yoga was once a beginner. Yoga is for anyone and everyone who is motivated to give it a try, it can be adapted to suit all levels. Yoga can create balance in the body through developing strength, flexibility and stillness in the mind. Yoga is a conversation you have with yourself; it can be a lifelong practice offering you the chance to get to know yourself a little better. The sooner you start, the sooner you'll discover its wonderful benefits.

How do I
start?

Just sign up to the class that suits you. All you will need at first are comfy clothes and a willingness to try what may initially seem unfamiliar. Yoga is many different things to different people. Yoga encourages you to tune in to your body. How you breathe. How you focus your mind. How you move.

How can you resist?

Yoga gives me peace, I can feel yoga changing me. I am a lot stronger in my upper body and the flexibility I'm gaining is immense.

“I've recently been privileged enough to be part of a Pause Yoga retreat and all I can say is WOW from start to finish. It was professional, challenging, deeply emotional, caring and so finely tuned that I cannot wait to go on the next one. Bravo. xxx"
