Meet Rebecca

Hi, I’m Rebecca. Welcome, I’m glad you’re here.

I’m a mum, daughter, wife, sister, friend and a devoted dog owner. I'm happiest outdoors, whether that's walking in the hills, swimming, travelling, exploring somewhere new or simply being in nature with people and pets I love.

I'm also a British Wheel of Yoga (BWY Dip 500) teacher and student, I trained with Catherine Eastwood, Pause Yoga is my little corner of life where I am lucky enough to share this practise which has offered me so much.

Life can get frantic at times and it's easy to rush from one thing to another. I wanted to create somewhere people could come, take a breath, move, relax and have space just for them.

Pause Yoga grew from this simple concept and now has it's own bespoke studio and welcoming community.

Yoga for real life. Pause yoga classes combine Hatha Yoga, breathwork, meditation, mantra and philosophy with plenty of options so you can make the practice work for your body on any given day.

Little more about me. I came to yoga in my 20's and trained to teach in my 40's. I love to be in the hills with the dog and enjoy a bit of adventure too, from working as a white-water rafting instructor for a few years and loving winters to board/ski, cycling coast to coast and taking part in a couple of half-Ironmans and enjoying a bit of wobbly SUP yoga along the way.

Yoga has a deep well of knowledge and there is always more to understand, learn and explore and that is an ongoing journey I continue to enjoy currently in my 2nd year of pranayama teaching from the Gitananda tradition.

Alongside yoga I have 25years in trauma-informed relational work and qualifications in first aid and mental health first aid.

If you're new to yoga, returning after a break or looking for a new friendly yoga community you are very welcome.
